  • Patient and Workplace Experience Advisory Teams
  • Putting A Face On Harm: Storytelling is a key foundation to sharing and improving the patient care experience at Maple Grove Hospital. We share stories from patients and families, describing compassionate care delivery and experiences. We share stories about our peers, illustrating how individuals consistently go above and beyond to improve a patient's experience.

Because storytelling is a keystone to our culture, and in the fabric of how we operate at Maple Grove Hospital, earlier this year we kicked off a new initiative that focuses on sharing the outcomes of patient safety issues through personal stories to put a face on harm.

This safety initiative is called Putting a Face on Harm. The campaign will be speaking to, and about improvements in safety and reduction of error through patient stories. These stories will highlight the positive improvements made to the policy and process based on the outcomes of safety first reports, good catches, employee safety concerns, and adverse and sentinel event reporting. Storytelling will help make the initimate connection to a person, rather than an event.
